In 1996, Bennington joined the band Xero, which would later become Linkin Park. The band released its debut album, Hybrid Theory, in 2000. The album was a huge success, selling over 10 million copies worldwide. Linkin Park became one of the most popular rock bands in the world.

Bennington was the lead singer of Linkin Park for 17 years. During that time, the band released seven studio albums, two live albums, and two compilation albums. Linkin Park also won two Grammy Awards and sold over 50 million albums worldwide.
